Crash Causes Traffic Light Failure, Power Outage On Jersey Shore

A crash led to a traffic signal failure and power outage in Monmouth County, authorities said.

Crews were still working on the equipment failure about three hours after the 12:20 p.m. crash on Wednesday, June 28, 511nj.org reported.

The malfunctioning light affected both directions of Route 36 north of Linden Avenue in Highlands, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

All lanes were open to traffic.
